Thursday December 12

Today in math we practiced measure squiggly lines. We found it challenging to measure the 2 and 3rd set of lines with a paper clip or block. Ask me about a measuring tool that would work better.

In literacy we worked on inferencing. We used the picture below to make inferences. Ask me about the inferences I made.

We read chapter 7 in Halifax Explodes. While we where reading we drew what we saw and wrote a prediction, made an inference, identified an important part or asked a question.

During social studies today we learned about some of the animals on the East Coast and how people might use them. We even had a chance to practice drawing some of the animals. Ask me about something I learned.

We also had a very special assembly today. The grade 3 and 4 students shared some of the songs they have been working very hard on.
