First Day in Grade 2

We had a great day in Rooms 126 and 127!!

We started  making labels for our coat hooks and learned about expected and unexpected behaviours.

We were lucky to visit Ms. Nanavaty this morning and had our first Phys. ed class of the year.  We played a name game.

During snack time we had a morning message where we looked at the calendar and started counting the days.  We also read a fun book called First Day Jitters.  Ask me what the surprise was at the end of the book.

We worked on or own puzzle pieces this morning as a way to tell more about ourselves.

We sorted pictures of people in our school during a special activity. We noticed some were teachers and some had other jobs in our school.  We'll learn more about how all of us are part of the New Brighton School community.

We read the book What Do You Do With a Problem?
We realized some of us had problems at the beginning of the day.  We learned that our classroom is a safe place where our teachers help us solve our problems.

We will be reading and discussing the book more during the rest of the week.

Thanks for an awesome first day Grade 2!
