Tuesday November 26th

Today we worked hard at become apart of the North West Mounted Police (NWMP). During the day we learned a lot about the NWMP and how they protected Canada.

First we had to practice drawing the horse that we would ride and discovered that The Great March was a very important when the mounties travelled across Canada.

Next we read The Important Book and brainstormed ideas about how the NWMP where important. Then we used the pattern of the The Important Book to share our ideas about the NWMP.

Then we became investigators and explored artifacts that where important to the NWMP. We had to think about what we saw and look for clues that would help us figure out what the artifact was. Next we wrote about what we thought the artifact was used for, then we asked a questions about the artifact. Finally we discussed the different artifacts as a group. Ask me about the artifact I investigated and what I learned.
