Wednesday November 13th

In math today we continued to work on our doubles problem. Ask me if I decided to start with 3, 4, or 7 coins and how I kept doubling the number.

In writing we began investigating arctic animals and identified what we already know about some of the Arctic animals and descriptive words to describe the animals. Ask me about which animal I was working on and what I already know.
In literacy we started working on using the questioning strategy. We read the book A Tiger Tail and used the Q-chart to think of questions, before, during and after reading the book. Then we had a chance to practice on our own using books from our book bins.

In social studies we learned about the Tundra and that permafrost is unique to the tundra and makes it impossible for trees to grow.

During art we reflected on an art piece by Ted Harrison. Ask me about what I noticed in Ted Harrison art work.

Reminders:
Nov 21 - Fun lunch
Nov 22 - Non-instructional day
