During morning message we practiced sorting words by there alphabetical order. I wonder why it is important to know how to put words in alphabetical order?
In math we read One is a Snail and Ten is a Crab. We thought about different animals and the number of legs that they have. Together we tried the follow word problem. I wonder what the largest number of animals the zoo keeper could have seen and the smallest number of animals the zookeeper could have seen?
In social we flew to the prairies and will be spending the next few week exploring the important features of the land. Today we started by sketching the prairie landscape and noticed that the horizon line was straight. We also began to think about descriptive words as we identified what we could observe with our eyes in pictures of prairie landscapes. I wonder how to use descriptive words to describe the prairies?
In music we used the boomwhakers and played songs while keeping the rhythm.
